| Slow Down and Smooth out for Wellbeing | |
Everything we do should be soothing to the nervous system. If not, we become agitated, anxious, nervous, fearful, and stressed out. A calm nervous system allows us to be most connected, so we feel the best. Start to notice when your movements are jerky and agitated and start to smooth them out. You can start with learning to open the eyes slowly first thing in the morning or after meditation practice. Upon awakening, breathe, roll over slowly, and push yourself up to get out of bed rather than shooting up or jumping straight out. Starting off your day in this manner will help to keep you feeling clear, calm, and well.
