Somatic Tips to Help You Move BetterSmaller Font  Larger Font

Moving well plays a role in how well you feel.

1. Move with Less Effort - easier said than done.

2. Be aware when you release - when you find yourself contracting, do you ever notice how you un-contract yourself. This is a key in releasing chemicals of relaxation.

3. Practice first thing in the morning - all healthy animals with a spine wake up their nervous system before they check their emails.

4. Pay attention to how you move - awareness in all the details of movement can set you free

5. Use your self-correcting brain and mind - your brain has the power to self-correct and continue by small changes.

6. Differentiate your movement - this leads to greater coordination and efficient and graceful movement overall.
